OSU School of Music Presents Jazz Guitarist Tim Cummiskey Nov. 9 at 8 pm

Central Ohio jazz guitarist and educator Tim Cummiskey presents a concert on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 8 p.m. in Weigel Auditorium, 1866 College Rd., on campus
 
For this concert, Cummiskey will be assisted by Columbus area jazz musicians and fellow School of Music jazz studies faculty members Andy Woodson, bass; Jim Rupp, drums; Jon Eshelman, piano.
 
Selections will come from the American Songbook as well as Bebop and Post-Bop composers. The program offers a range of jazz guitar styles and showcases the elasticity and energy of the jazz guitar trio.
 
Cummiskey has performed with or given clinics with major jazz artists, including Benny Golson, Tim Hagans, and Gene Bertoncini. He is a contributing writer to Downbeat, Jazz Guitar, and Just Jazz Guitar magazines.
