Each year, the Ohio State High School Honor Band Weekend — one of the longest-running and finest events of its kind — welcomes nearly 400 outstanding musicians in grades 9–12, selected from director nominations.
The High School Honor Jazz Band Weekend welcomes outstanding jazz musicians in grades 10–12, selected from director nominations.
Students participate in an exciting weekend of high-level music-making through lessons, sectionals and large group rehearsals. They enjoy working with School of Music faculty and current students, as well as meeting peers from across the state. All bands perform a finale concert that is free and open to the public.
